Frequently asked questions
Is it really too hot in summer?
During the day, yes: temperatures regularly exceed 38-40° in July-August, with peaks at 45°. The city remains liveable if you organise around the heat: visits early morning or late in the day, a nap or the pool in the afternoon.
Is it cold in winter in Marrakech?
Days stay mild (18 to 21° on average), but nights can be cool, around 6 to 8°. A light sweater or jacket for the evening is essential, even though the climate remains generally pleasant.
What is the best time for the desert or an Atlas trek?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (October to November) offer the best conditions, with moderate temperatures both in the city and at altitude. Summer is still possible for the desert in the evening and at night, but very demanding during the day.
